I just found out that my 2 year old son’s cerebral palsy could be because of problems during labor and delivery. His heart rate kept going down, at one point for 8 minutes straight, which I just found out yesterday. They were going to do an emergency c-section, but then changed their minds. He wasn’t born for another 3 and a half hours after that.

He’s severely disabled. I was hoping that it was a genetic cause. I could live with that. The idea of it being caused by the hospital just makes me feel really angry and so so so sad, because he could have been normal if they would have just done the c-section. I put too much trust in them. I thought they knew best.

I look at him and think about what it would be like if he were normal. I am just so devastated by this new news that I am like a zombie. I don’t know how to deal with it.
He’s also moderately to severely mentally retarded.

I am currently 16 years old and when i was born i suffered an injury which is still with me today. This injury was a result of an improper birth, at fault of my obstetrition.

Anyway I wanted to know if it would be at all feesible to prosecute him when i reach adulthood. Or would this not be possible because the birth would have been 18 years ago?

Could anyone give me some guidelines here? I know i sound like a malicious little money hungry so and so, but i just want to know my rights here.

Now I am about to be 50 years of age. i was trying to loose some weight, so I decided to take up walking an hour a day. And after a week of daily walking. my pubic bones were in so much pain when walking, that I had to stop. Is there a fracture inthat place, i gave birth 22 years ago can this be affecting my pain today?

Haha I’m not pregnant at all, no way, I’m still at school. But just wondering if you could compare giving birth to an injury or experience you’ve had. I’m just curious, because a lot of women obviously give birth, and complain about it being the most painful thing, but somehow majority seem to make out of it okay. Does that just show how strong women really are?
