Legal advice please — birth injury–>adulthood?

Birth Injury
Johnno is here to help asked:

Hello
I am currently 16 years old and when i was born i suffered an injury which is still with me today. This injury was a result of an improper birth, at fault of my obstetrition.

Anyway I wanted to know if it would be at all feesible to prosecute him when i reach adulthood. Or would this not be possible because the birth would have been 18 years ago?

Could anyone give me some guidelines here? I know i sound like a malicious little money hungry so and so, but i just want to know my rights here.
Thanks for your time.

The question cannot be answered without knowing where you are. Many states have absolute statutes of limitation on medical malpractice claims. Many “toll” the statute while you are a minor so it really doesn’t begin to run until you are an adult (18). Check “statute of limitations medical malpractice claims” on google for your location and see if that answers your question for your locale.

my friends helps a lady who’s child was brain damaged through lack of oxygen to the brain due to a negligence of ther staff, he can’t walk or talk and doesn.t really have a good way of life and his mum is suing the hospital, so if you can prove it was negligence of birth you should have a good case whether your eighteen or not, get your parents to help, try and go for some legal advice to see where you stand legally, the best advice would be off them, but i hope you get your case and the appology you obviously deserve, money will just help you get a better life for yourself, but nothing is as good as a healthy body is it.

I’m in a wheelchair so i understand abit good luck anyway and take care, hope you get what your after.
