Do people with brain injury usually experience anxiety as a direct result of the injury?
starfishblues asked:
Just interested to know how common/ typical this is. Also, is the anxiety a direct result of the injury or a side effect that occurs after the injury? What are the physical factors that cause anxiety in brain injury patients?

Can a life threatening brain injury occur without a direct blow to the head. For example, a car accident ?
Jason W asked:
For instance, getting into a car accident without hitting your head I do believe can cause brain injury, but dont quite understand whether it can result in a fatal injury. Obviously, hitting your head at a very fast speed could result in fatal injury. However, it doesnt make sense to me how people sustain brain injuries when they dont hit their heads even though I know it can happen.

Is it possible to get a brain injury from a bus thats always shaking up and down absnormally every 2 seconds?
Jason W asked:
Everyday, I ride the bus from my house to school and coming back home. While I am on the bus, I notice that it is always rocking up and down. Although all buses shake a little bit, this bus does it constantly, and I feel like I am always vibrating. I was wondering if this long term exposure to this can cause injury/damage to the brain?
Thanks for the answers you gave me. Sorry, I forgot to mention that the bus rocks up and down very hard. Even when you sit in the front, it doesn’t make a difference on this bus.

Has anyone received a brain injury from an accident without having an exterior wound?
kimbow82 asked:
I was in a 4 car pile up and doctors are looking into seeing if I might have some internal brain injuries, but I did not receive any exterior wound, bump or bruise. Has anyone gotten a brain injury internally only? How did you find out you had one and what was your treatment?
