Does anyone know about the website www.listclassaction.com?

I saw a TV advertisement regarding a class action lawsuit against Trans Union. I went to their website and read various court and legal documents. According to the court documents Trans Union has settled the lawsuit at
a payment to the plaintiffs (class action parties who register and qualify for damages payment) with a total settlement of 75 million dollars. Is this legit?
How can I find out the truth. And if I qualify for a portion of the settlement should I register for the class action or submit my own personal claim.
The website listclassaction.com asks for personal info, including the last
four digits of my social sec. #. And it seems they are trying to sell credit
monitoring services. Is there a legal advice website or forum where I can
get answers about this. Thanks for any answers or advice.

I testified for a plaintiff against a huge corporation,Suit won huge awarded. Then I was slandered on Internet?

Class Actions Plaintiff
Red asked:

I testified for a plaintiff against a huge corporation I had worked for. The suit was won, and a huge dollar amount was awarded. Shortly afterward, the plaintiff slandered me in a video taped interview. Part of the interview was published on the Internet by a well known journalist. I was not contacted to make any statement or to in anyway defend the statements that were made. After a lot of work on my part, the journalist has modified the “interview”, taking my name out. All of this is easily proven. Can the parties be sued for damages incurred, such as injury to my health (I have a neurological disease which is worsened by stress and will not ever improve), as well as financial and professional damages to my reputation? Would any attorney take the case on a contingency basis? This would be very high profile. The law suit I testified in appears to now be part of an upcoming class action case against the corporation I worked for. Thank you

That, Obama started the whole “affordable” housing deal with ACORN.

This spread to the Carter and Clinton administration and resulted in what we have today.
I love the fact filled arguments the democrats are posing!!

Is this not poof economist testified Hiring workers depressed wages at Tyson Foods plants?

Class Actions Plaintiff
Beach Girl asked:

An economist testified Wednesday in U.S. District Court that Tyson Foods depressed wages at eight plants by hiring undocumented workers.

“It seems Tyson pays lower wages than what other unskilled workers get in comparable labor markets,” said Dr. George Borjas, who compared wage data and produced a report for plaintiffs in a class-action lawsuit filed against Tyson.

Defense lawyer Tom Green is asking Chief U.S. District Judge Curtis Collier to rule the report and Dr. Borjas’ testimony inadmissible at the trial, which is scheduled to begin March 3, 2008.

“The data is not reliable,” Mr. Green said. “It’s infected on many fronts.”

Mr. Green produced several papers written by Dr. Borjas, including a commentary published in the Wall Street Journal claiming an influx of immigrants to an area has a “weak but negative impact” on wages in a city.

Chicago-based attorney Howard Foster, who represents the former Tyson employees seeking damages for depressed wages, said Dr. Borjas estimated wages at eight Tyson plants saved the meat producer about $25 million from 1998 to 2006.

If the damage amount is allowed and plaintiff’s win the suit, Mr. Foster said it could cost Tyson Foods up to $75 million.

“If we win, (the damages) will automatically be tripled,” he said.

Mr. Green criticized Dr. Borjas’ methodology, which he said does not paint an accurate picture because wages are compared to statewide data rather than to wages in the areas immediately surrounding the Tyson plants in question.

BTW a boycott of Tyson Foods helps too…why put the prices up to pay for the lawsuits if nobody is buying Tyson anyway?

I filed numerous complaints with Citigroups ethics line and hr and no response? My family background is middle eastern and my manager is very racist towards me. I am a lead plaintiff in a class action suit against the company for a different reason, for erisa fraud. The company is treating me like crap. I was told several times by hr and citigroups ethics line that the company prohibits retaliation against complaining. Now my manager who I have been complaining about wants me to take a diversity training class because I complained about him. When I questioned him about it, he became very agitated and I felt treathened when he clinched his fists and said your taking it and that’s final. I contacted Citigroups hr dept and no response in 2 days. What should I do. I feel threatened as this man has a military background and I don’t know what he is capable of, whereas, I am over 500lbs, and handicaped.

Car Buyers Sue Ford Over Limited Edition Vehicle

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Car buyers sued Ford on Monday complaining that a limited edition of a modified Ford Mustang was not so limited after all.

The class action lawsuit on behalf of a New York man and other buyers of the 2007 Roush Stage 3 BlackJack vehicles claimed they paid a premium price of nearly $59,000 (30,000 pounds) last year because Ford advertised that only 100 would be made.

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan, accused Ford and Roush Performance Products Inc of manufacturing at least 100 more of the vehicles in 2008.

Representatives of Ford were not immediately available to comment, a company spokeswoman said.

“The vehicles purchased by the plaintiff and the other class members were not as unique or rare as the defendants had stated them to be,” the complaint said. “Their value from scarcity and as collectors’ items were and are dramatically less than the buyers had been led to believe their value would be.”

Ford manufactured a limited run of a modified version of the Ford Mustang, made especially for conversion by Roush into the Stage 3 BlackJack, the complaint said.

Drew Conner of Bardonia, N.Y., and at least 100 other people are members of the class seeking a jury trial and more than $12 million in damages.
