Forming a single-person LLC in US as a Chinese citizen living in China?

Bravo 25 asked:

I wanna form a single-person LLC in the US as a Chinese citizen living in China. The LLC operates on the Internet ONLY doing business supplies retailing using an online store. All my product distributors are US based companies who drop ship products for me to my customers (mostly US customers). Please tell me if my following understandings about forming this LLC are correct.

I can form a single-person LLC in any US state of my choice without ever having to even come to US. I only need to search online and find a lawyer who lives in the state of my choice to be my LLC representative, then this same lawyer, or another lawyer, or a CPA, or a friend who lives in that state can represent me to go through all the legal process of forming my LLC. I can choose anyone to be my LLC representative (a lawyer, a CPA, a friend, etc.) as long as that person lives in that state as a US citizen or permanent resident.

Please help me correct any mistakes in the above statement. And please tell me the approximate total cost (doesn’t even have to be nearly accurate) for me to hire a lawyer in Arizona to help me form an Arizona LLC and then have a friend who lives in Arizona to be my LLC representative.

Also, how much (approximately) will it cost me to have a lawyer to be my LLC representative in Arizona? Is it dangerous to have the same lawyer who helps me form the LLC to be my LLC representative?

The cost of an attorney to form a LLC could be as little as $450 (US). The annual fee for a personal representative could be more than that. If you want a professional to be your representative, a CPA might be less costly and more reliable.
