What can happen..Smuggling drugs in the border?
a few days ago, i friend of mine got caught smuggling 105 bundles of marijuana in his truck from the mexican / us border in texas.
What im wondering to see, is… is it possible to bail him out in court, with a good lawyer..?
and if not, how much time can he do inside the jail.. ?
any other info.. will help..
1st of all he is not from mexico.. he is a citizen.. its his first time ever in jail..

How will North Dakota enforce a misdemeanor conviction sentence on a California resident?
My partner plead guilty to a misdemeanor marijuana paraphernalia possession charge in North Dakota recently. Being a California resident, he returned home after the trial. Now, here in California, he has a legal medical cannabis recommendation, but the judge chose to ignore that fact and sentenced him to a drug test as well as a fine.
He’s supposed to take this drug test by December 15th, but we haven’t gotten any official communication from them and we have no idea how or where it’s supposed to happen.
My question is this. How exactly is this going to be enforced? Is North Dakota going to send someone out here? Are they going to force him to go back there just for one single pee test after a first misdemeanor conviction with a previously clean record?
There were no actual drugs found. It wasn’t even proven that the pipe contained cannabis residue. They denied him a lawyer and he plead guilty in panic just wanting to get home. (We’re working on contacting the ND Public Defender’s office about that part; please just answer the question about the drug test.)
Thank you in advance for your time. Personal experiences in this regard (that is, other people who have been convicted for a drug-related misdemeanor in a state other than their own) would be deeply appreciated.
I’m aware that legally California’s laws don’t mean anything in ND, but here in CA, his legal recommendation would in fact make the possession of the pipe legal. Not every cop would choose to respect that, but it’s still legal for a person with a legal recommendation.
Again, I’m aware that doesn’t change the law, but the judge had the power of sentencing. She could have chosen to take that fact into consideration, as well as the fact that no actual drugs were found. She didn’t. That’s the only reason I mentioned that.

If I could afford to hire even the cheapest, least competent lawyer, I wouldn’t be making this post. A lawyer is absolutely out of the question right now. Together he and I have about to our name.
My lawyer basically told the jury I was guilty in his opening statement. What do I do?
I am in trial right now. I am being accused of pretty theft. My attorney told the jury in his opening statement that I did take the electronics out of store without paying but that I was treated poorly by loss prevention. I don’t think that is a defense. And I can’t prove it, but I have a feeling he is on drugs. What can I do?

i can not go to court by myself. there are to many crimes thet crimmonals have done to me. the cops commit crimes against me and do not write reports of crimes that known crimmonals do to me . for years so vary many crimes car thieft bank giving away my bank acoount to known person sister steeling months of food stamps & months of my mail from po box &* mail box mail box stolen cops not returning po box key house hey food stamps cash & insurance card cloths . being told to get more. being held down by neffue while sister beet me up whin thay found out i tryed to get my farther arrseted for steeling my car(he did not get arrested) cops just sujested he bring it back to my town. a cop stoled another bank acount being msde blind with pepper spray drug out of car by hair jailed then told to tair up ticket. being released over *& over without any lawyer or even see ing a judge for whst charged withbeing released in jail cloths having cops distroy my apt door and lots more things no media
My husband is Trini and was charged with possession of a drug, does he stand a chance of immigrating to the US?
I’m filing an I-130 but am terrified that the consulate in Trinidad might deny him approval. The possession charge was for 0.002grams of a hard drug. He doesn’t do or sell drugs. He was hanging around the wrong people at the wrong time and got set-up by the corrupt police. He stupidly listened to his hustling lawyer and plead guilty to the charge to avoid jail time or a trial. Does anyone have or has had a similar situation occur? Please share.
Does selling drugs affect you from going military?
I am 18 and i was arrested for selling weed as my first offense, havent got arrested for anything but that. I was thrown in jail but had a lawyer, i was just wondering if that would affect me from enlisting in the military. I never did went to court, because my lawyer said he got everything taken care off.

ok, i live in ohio and just found out from another friend my buddy jim does coke. If i give Jim a ride and he had 1 gram of coke and we get pulled over and he hides it in my car, and then tells the cops it isn’t his can i be blammed for it? Would we both be charged with it? Could I take a drug test and or lie detector test to prove it wasn’t mine. thanks

there is this guy me and my mates got to know with, not knowing his past, we became good friends, this was a big mistake, this guy grows mushrooms, does pot and mushrooms, collects knives, and is a psychopath. i hate him, but i cant do anything cause he will do something to me, my mate who is really smart, and does maths 2 years above his level and is studying to become a lawyer, is getting involved with drugs. (were all 15)
im losing my friend to this druggy/psycho and i dont know what to do
if i tell his mum, he will never speak to me again, the druggy will get caught and hurt me, and he will get beat by his mum
but then again i save him
if i keep silent im safe but his he will screw his life up

My brother whose only crime in his lifetime has been speeding, was thrown to the wolves by his lawyer. His wife was doing drugs and told him she had lupus. She is a past exotic dancer and prostitute. He had only been married a year. She told him that she had to have meth in order to be able to survive this horrible disease. He had no knowledge whatsoever. He was 50 when they met. She had him buy 4 pakgs. of psuedo-whatever, and he was caught. She received 3 years, he got 6. His lawyer sold him down the river. The judge felt sorry for wife, she had such a hard life. Milt should have known better, etc. Judge said he was making an example of Milt. Police really wanted him because he was a prison guard. Yes, he was around lots of drug addicts, but guarding them and hanging with them are two different things. My brother was stupid, but he took the hit for her and everyone let him. How do I help him?
He knew it was illegal, but rather than have her go to her dealer, who supposedly raped her, he was buying the stuff so she could make it at home. I know that this sounds awfully stupid, but it is though this woman controlled every waking thought he had. His ex of 20 years, his children, our parents, his friends. we all tried to no avail. He honestly thought for over a year that she had lupus. He took her to the doctors office every week. She walked out the back door to go to her dealers house. Yes, he was wrong to buy the stuff, but not 6 years worth. Also, being a prison guard in a town of less than 20,000, is not the big time. Miltie guarded addicts, he didn’t hang out with them. Iwouldn’t know what meth looked or smelled like and neither did he. We also didn’t know how people acted on it. I met her and just thought she was very shy. How was he to know if he only saw people who were not on meth which hopefully the prisoners were. No! He never sold drugs, ever!!!!!!!!!!
