You do realize they are using you to get money right? You have soft tissue injuries and didnt even give the insurance company a chance to settle with you without a lawyer... a lawyer is only in it for themselves.. after their bills and the lawyers get paid.. expect very little for yourself. haha.. your chiro referred you to a lawyer? The chiro & the lawyer that is. Do you honestly think the chiro & lawyer are after your best interests? Of course not, and the insurance companies, as well as mediators, know it & frown upon these types of cases....the chiro bills for services not received, "unblundles" charges, or flat out overcharges for their services, the lawyer & the chiro split the difference, and you're left with hardly nothing. Remember that intake sheet you filled out where it asks you "how did you hear about us?" I've been in the lawyers office overhearing the "paralegal" on the phone with the doctor directing the course of treatment for the injured person and how much to charge for it..... This doesn't mean you weren't hurt...of course you were. But you're about to become a victim in all of this through absolutely no fault of your own...and if you're okay with that, then enjoy whatever cash you receive. But just so you know, the lawyer isn't going to do for you what you aren't capable of doing for yourself.
