What is the average cost for a Lawyers Professional Liability Insurance?
I’m looking forward to practice law as a Foreign Legal Consultant so I don’t have any experience with this type of insurance required in the US. I would really appreciate any guidance to help me on my research… Thanks in advance.
Oh, the insurance should be in an amount of at least 0,000 for each claim, with an aggregate limit of 0,000 for all claims established against the Foreign Legal Consultant during the calendar day.
How long it take insurance company to respond?
How long do it take an insurance company to respond?
Also how long do it take for a insurance co. to respond to your lawyers after receiving the lawsuit papers? Is it true if you have a hard case and their client is at fault for your injury(premises liability) they will settle with your lawyer to avoid court?
should I hire a lawyer to handle my insurance claim?
my house burnt to the ground a week and a half ago, I was out of town and we lost everything we owned except some clothing. The fire marshal came out that night and told me that it was suspicious but the cause would probably never be determined. When I went in to see the insurance company they treated me like some kind of criminal, here I am having lost everything that I own. By the time I left I was just beside myself, they wanted to dig into every aspect of my life, they wanted me to go to the gambling boat and get a print out of how much money I have spent there. And they just kept saying, do you see why this doesn’t look good for you!!! Can they make me do things like that? They twisted around everything I said, THEN to top it off, he said that it would take a while to settle my claim becuase it was suspicious, when asked how long, he said, " well it just depends on how much you turn in" Like if I don’t turn in all my personal property they will pay the claim!!
The fire marshall has ruled me out completely and the insurance company knows this, and the reason I am talking about a lawyer is to protect myself, not because they where "mean" to me. I just feel like they are on some kind of witch hunt so they don’t have to play the claim. They act like it is awful if I ask for anything, and I am just not sure of my rights, what I have to disclose to them (like the gambiling), I only spent 0 there, but it is just the whole point that thye can demand things and I have to jump through hoops, as does my family as they have all been interigated too.

In Texas, can an injured person get compensation for med bills that exceed the insurance policy limits?
In a rear end collision in Texas, can an injured person be compensated for medical bills that exceed the policy limits? I suffered a concussion and nerve damage and don’t feel I got adequate legal representation. How can I find out what the insurance company actually paid my lawyer?
Car accident involving two parties with same insurance company?
Hi there,
My dad was involved in a car accident where the other party was at fault in WA state. Both parties have same insurance company. The Insurance company deemed the car as a total loss and sent a check of 00. Meanwhile my dad had to go to a doctor because his neck is super stiff. Did anyone have similar experiences? 00 isn’t enough for a new car, and they can’t afford car payments at this time (my mom has was just laid of), should we get a lawyer to contact the insurance company to demand higher compensation? Thanks!
What can happen to me if the insurance company denied coverage for the car I was operating and a accident occu
In June 4 2004 I was involved in a car accident. No summonses were given to any of the parties involved. I was driving my sister’s car, which at one point was living at the same residence as I reside in but moved out by January 2002. She open her policy sometime in 2001 and may have forgotten to declared me as a licensed driver living in thehousehold(not sure what was omitted). In 2006 I was served with a civil lawsuit. I turned the lawsuit papers over to her insurance company, by this time she had a different insurance company. They assigned a lawyer to be my defense counsel and deal with the suit. Sometime in July 2007, my sister insurance notified me that they were not going to be responsible for any liability cost or any future legal cost. The letter stated that they were now in 2007 voiding my sister policy dating back to February 2002 and gave no explanation as to why. It said I could appeal but the appeal’s process is ridiculous because is conducted by someone that works for
them actually by the same person who denied coverage the first time. Now I have to get a lawyer to defend me and try to get the insurance company to act responsibly as well as a lawyer so that they stop giving my sister the run around by not providing her a copy of her policy to see what section allows them to void the policy. By the way my sister had other claims that they answer for and they also collected almost 4 years of premiums. Are they allowed to do this and what can happen to me if I was unable to afford legal representation?
Should I do anything when the person I rear-ended hired a lawyer to talk to the insurance company?
About two weeks ago I rear-ended a girl doing 20mph. When she got out of the car, she said she fine when I asked, and it was actually a nice conversation since I was in her Bio class. I even gave her a hug, hahaha, because I felt really bad. I knew I was at fault, I had comprehensive insurance and money in the bank for my deductible, so I really didn’t worry because we were both fine and insurance would take care of repairs.
I saw her five days later in my bio class, and we even sat at the same table during lab. She was acting normal and definitely not injured while we were dissecting.
I call my insurance claims office two days ago and find out that the claim isn’t closed yet because she hired a lawyer and claimed she has whiplash. The guy in the claims department said I shouldn’t worry because this is a normal occurrence. But should I be worried? Is there anything that I should do now that she has a lawyer? Especially since I saw her five days after the accident, and she didn’t have a neck brace and didn’t make a peep or grimace when she was standing up then bending over to help with dissection? I read online, and it says usually injury from whiplash shows its symptoms 24-72 after the injury.
I dunno, I just really feel like this girl is taking advantage of the accident and like this is fraud. I’m just not sure what I should do.

Victim? I’m about to become a victim of someone’s fraud! This girl isn’t hurt! That’s the point of this question.
The police were called, and I called my insurance right after.
