I was in a Car accident and the person who was at fault has a lawyer as do I can I lose the case?
I live in Louisiana and two years ago I was in a accident where the other driver tryed to make a U turn from the right shoulder across the solid white line. On a two lane highway divided by a double yellow line. The accident was unavoidable and I had some lower back injuries due to it. The driver at fault has a lawyer and so do I. Can I lose this case and if I do what can happen.
Car Accident Trial Lawyer Fee – Case?
I am from Seattle, WA. Although this is not my case, I will just pretend it is. I got into a 3 car accident. The first car is a Hummer, he suddenly stopped on the freeway which caused 2 cars to hit him from behind. The car in the middle and the last car (which is me, last car). From my point of view, I feel as if I did not cause the accident, I just could not stop in time but then again, there is a law isn’t there (?) that whoever hits another car from the back is always at fault (?).
Anyways, because people are so mean and greedy, the Hummer, which did not have a single dent while mines and the other car that is totaled in the front, we were not injured. Yet, the passenger in the Hummer is complaining about injuries and has file a law suit against us (the two cars that hitted the Hummer).
1. How much does it cost to hire an attorney for a car accident?
2. Whose fault is it?
3. Any advice for me in the trial?
I just hope the person in the Hummer is really injured for if I lose the case, at least the money is going to help heal him. If not, I hope there is God that will punish those who do bad things.

My friend had a car accident on I-95, the other guy got the ticket, and my friend has whiplash. How hard is it to get anything out of the other driver who cause the accident. Should she get a car accident lawyer to represent her, or just see what the insurance company offers them? And who would a good car accident lawyer be, in South Florida?

i was a passenger in car that was rear ended at a red light. the vehicle who hit us was speeding and got a citation. i was taken to emergency by ambulance at the scene. i was out of state (california) at the time. i was diagnosed with cervical strain. i returned to my home state (new jersey) where i saw my own physician. he sent me back to emergency where i was diagnosed with severe cervical strain and bruised ribs. i have been sent to physical therapy for my neck, 3 times a week for 4 weeks. hopefully that will be all i need.
i don’t really like to sue people but i sure would like to see all my medical bills paid and some pain and suffering. i do not work so i have no lost income. should i just negotiate with his insurance company or get a lawyer who would get 33% of any settlement. how much would my pain and suffering be worth? my medical bills will be 3 or 4thousand dollars and my out of pocket expenses will be about 0.00.

Got into a car accident 7 months ago. guy with an ford F-250 (big truck) ran red light and totaled my 4cylinder camry. I had no insurance, stupid i know, but the fact is , it was not my fault!
A- police report said it was a NO FAULT.
B- cop at scene denied me a witness.
C- got a notarized written statement from the witness.
D- State Farm denied my witness as well!
E- months later State Farm sends me a 3.000 check. HALF of my totaled car’s damages
F- now a letter saying i must pay 6,300 in 30 days or i’ll be sued, suspened licesne and ruin credit!
!!! My car is still in my garage and everyone that’s seen it says you can tell that i got t-boned real hard and that it should be obvious that I GOT HIT!!!
Please any advice helps! what kind of lawyer do i need to seek? why would state farm send me money only to ask for money 4 months later? it doesn’t make sense.
my story is not all over the place and not full of holes, it is what it is. you say state farm wouldn’t pay me 3g’s then ask for more than double that back? well they did! i have the letter right here! i don’t get it either, which is WHY i am asking for advice genuises! they are now claiming it was my fault! but police reports say no fault! if you saw my car it’s obvious he was going fast enough to total. p.s. my car is still a mess in my garage! isn’t there a science that can prove this stuff? any other questions, just ask…i need genuine help, not snooty comments! what don’t you get?

yes i do have insurance now. the reason i’m gonna fight this so hard is because it really wasn’t my fault.
imagine this: you’re at a red light, waiting, you scan the radio in the meantime. THE CAR BEHIND YOU HONKS, you look up, the light is GREEN! i go to make my right turn. BAM! i get t-boned! btw, my witness is the lady that was behind me and honked! how in any way is this my fault? good thing is, i just found out that traffic light had a camera on it, so we might have footage. no one was hurt. only the guys grill got messed up, i took a picture! how is an old, rusty grill worth 6,300? yes i’ve learned my lesson, but i don’t feel i should have to pay a penny if i was in no way at fault! thanx again everyone!
Talked to lawyer regarding car accident. Does what he say sound weird?
I talked to a lawyer regarding a car accident my wife was in last week. Basically, a drunk driver rear ended her on the freeway. He does not have insurance. Luckily we have uninsured motorist insurance.
What the lawyer said was that she could go to a "special car accident clinic" to get treatment. There is no cost up front.
The lawyer would then ask our insurance company to pay for medical bills from this clinic (let’s say they’re ,000).
After our insurance company agrees to pay us the ,000, he goes back to the clinic which will then only take, let’s say, ,000 as payment. We would then keep the ,000 difference minus the lawyer’s cut.
Is this commonplace? The lawyer assured us this is "how the system works".
Also, if the insurance company, for whatever reason, decides to not pay the medical bills, would we be stuck with the bill or would it work like with a lawyer where they only get payed if there is a settlement?

today i got into a car accident. my 2007 yaris which i have had for less than a month was side swiped by a delivery truck which in turn made me crash into another car. the impact from the delivery truck made me lose control and slam right into a the steel bar hitch on a lifted truck. the damage to my car is pretty bad. so far i am uninjured with a little pain in my back side. should i seek legal action for this collision. i have never been in an accident before and this is causing me a great deal of distress because the car is probably totaled and i cant make it to work. the accident was the truck drivers fault, he even acknowledged he heard my horn. what should i do?
how to handle a lawsuit with out a lawyer on a car accident and the other had no insurance?

I do not want the low car accident settlement my lawyer is trying to get me to take?
I haven’t signed anything yet but I really want to terminate my lawyers services and decline the extremely low settlement he is telling me is my only option (since I don’t have another 00 to pay for my doctors to come to court). ,000 (40% of which he’ll get) for this accident http://www.sheniqimages.con/081704accident (my vehicle is the one that’s flipped over) is way too low.
