Should I do anything when the person I rear-ended hired a lawyer to talk to the insurance company?

About two weeks ago I rear-ended a girl doing 20mph. When she got out of the car, she said she fine when I asked, and it was actually a nice conversation since I was in her Bio class. I even gave her a hug, hahaha, because I felt really bad. I knew I was at fault, I had comprehensive insurance and money in the bank for my deductible, so I really didn’t worry because we were both fine and insurance would take care of repairs.

I saw her five days later in my bio class, and we even sat at the same table during lab. She was acting normal and definitely not injured while we were dissecting.

I call my insurance claims office two days ago and find out that the claim isn’t closed yet because she hired a lawyer and claimed she has whiplash. The guy in the claims department said I shouldn’t worry because this is a normal occurrence. But should I be worried? Is there anything that I should do now that she has a lawyer? Especially since I saw her five days after the accident, and she didn’t have a neck brace and didn’t make a peep or grimace when she was standing up then bending over to help with dissection? I read online, and it says usually injury from whiplash shows its symptoms 24-72 after the injury.

I dunno, I just really feel like this girl is taking advantage of the accident and like this is fraud. I’m just not sure what I should do.

Victim? I’m about to become a victim of someone’s fraud! This girl isn’t hurt! That’s the point of this question.
The police were called, and I called my insurance right after.

Why YOU Need a Lawyer When Dealing with a Claims Adjuster and Insurance Company

Claims adjusters received hundreds, and sometimes thousands of hours of training about how to best negotiate claims. They are trained to minimize the amount of money they pay out on claims and are taught how to maximize the profits their insurance companies earn each year. In this video, Senior Partner, Mitch Jackson, shares his thoughts about why trying to handle your own claim is like putting a baby bunny rabbit in a cage with a hungry full grown mountain lion. The outcome is going to be obvious. You must have an experienced lawyer help you with your personal injury or wrongful death claim negotiations. Car accident insurance claims question?

auto accident lawyers
playingforkeeps asked:

I was in an auto accident in VA. I was the passenger of the vehicle and the person t-boned the entire side of the vehicle I was in. The person that hit us was at fault and received a ticket. They didn’t have car insurance so my girlfriend’s car insurance is paying for everything. I was rushed to the ER and injured my neck, shoulder, chest, back and wrist. I am currently going to PT and OT. The physical therapist said I have musculoskeletal injuries. I have to take 4 different meds a day and I have chest pain several times a day. The current (some) bills and lost wages are over 6k as of right now and my physician says I will be in PT for at least another month. I haven’t been able to work my pt job because of the type of work I do there but I have been able to go to my full time job. How much should I expect for pain and suffering. I can’t even lift a bag of groceries now because my wrist hurts so badly. I don’t want to get a lawyer since they take all the money.
The insurance company already told me they are going to pay for my lost wages.

health insurance for car accident?

Car Accident Lawyers
Dawn W asked:

I was in an accident last weekend. It was not my fault and 100% of the blame is on the person who hit me (I was stopped at a light and he re-ended me and pushed me into the car in front of my). My car has been totaled.

I was taken to the hospital via ambulance, treated and released. I’ve seen four doctor’s this week, two sets of x-rays AND an MRI scan.
I have retained a lawyer to help me through the medical confusion and my car is being taken car of by my insurance company.

Everything has been placed on MY health insurance coverage.
I called my company (united health care) and told them all these bills are from an accident…thinking they would want the guy’s car insurance company, but they didn’t seem too concerned.

However, shouldn’t I be using the guy that hit me insurance for my medical expenses? He has insurance.

All I’m concerned about is getting my medical paid for and getting well, but don’t think my company should have to do it.

When/if a settlement comes….will my insurance company be seeking reimbursement from the settlement?

I do NOT have personal medical coverage from my car insurance.
So these bill will either be paid for by the other guy’s insurance/bodily injury claims or my own health insurance.
I am in GA and the accident was also in GA.
