Car accident, should I get a lawyer?
I was recently involved in a car accident. Someone ran a red light & hit the front drivers side & her back end swung around and hit the back drivers side of my car going about 40-50 mph totaling my car. I was rushed to the ER before I could get any of her information & the police officer was supposed to come to the ER to talk w/me & give me a police report #, He never came, but there were 3 witnesses that talked to him stating they saw the whole thing & she ran the red light. I have no information about her, her insurance hasn’t contacted me, & I am waiting on the police report. My insurance has covered for a rental car for now.
My 6 month old son was in the car with me, the paramedic checked him out & he has had a followup with his Dr. & they said that he looks fine, but it just shook up. My head hit the steering wheel & slammed against the window. I have a bump on my head that is black & blue & my forehead and whole left side of my body is bruised. I have had a constant headache & my neck, back & body is all stiff & is in a lot of pain. I followed up with a Dr. but he told me that I am just telling myself that I am in pain, he looked at the floor the whole time & he would not even look over me. I am in the process of going to another Dr.
I have never been involved in an accident to this extreme before. Should I get a lawyer? or should I just try to work with the insurance company myself?
This question is about drivers license?
Several years ago I had the bad judgment to get behind the wheel after having had several drinks. OK, I paid the fines, and the lawyer, and the DWI school, did the probation and the community service, etc.
Now the state of Texas wants 00.00 dollars per/year for 3 years for the "privilege" of having a drivers license. I will never pay this extortion money. My question is; If I move out of texas, lets say Louisiana, will I be able to get a license there? My legal obligations are done in Texas.

DWI ARREST BUT WAS NOT DRIVING?
My son was arrested for DWI after an officer found him accidentally asleep behind the wheel of his car waiting for a relative to open an apt. complex entrance gate. The officer walked up to the car, found him napping, detected a smell of alcohol and arrested him for DWI. We have an attorney who initially suggested taking it to trial because he was not driving and was on private property. But, now the attorney feels we should accept a plea bargain. Are there any suggestions how best this should be resolved; trial or plea bargain?
I was recently in a car accident where I sustained serious injuries ?
I was recently in a car accident where I sustained serious injuries – including a head injury with the potential for permanent brain damage, facial scarring, and a severe case of PTSD. My medical bills are mounting and while my car insurance and my health insurance are covering them for now, they have both stated that if I settle with the other party that I am to reimburse them immediately out of that settlement. I just heard from the responsible parties insurance company who has said they are willing to pay the maximum amount of the policy limits – which happens to be the lowest possible amount allowed in Georgia, ,000. This will barely cover what I would currently owe back to my car insurance and health insurance companies, but I would have nothing for further treatment and certainly nothing towards pain and suffering. The insurance adjuster for the responsible party stated that I could get a lawyer if I wanted but there is no way I can get any more than that 25K offered – does anyone know if that is true? I am not looking to "make money" off of this but I would like all of my medical bills to be covered and feel pain and suffering is not unreasonable as I almost died,
Would appreciate anyones advice on if a lawyer could seek out more than the policy limits. The person who hit me does not seem to have any additional funds if I were to sue them personally, I sense that would be an effort in futility.
I appreciate the advise on uninsured motorists – the adjuster from my company has said it does not apply, A) b/c the other driver had insurance, even if it was not enough and B) b/c they filed my claim as comprehensive, not collision. The at fault parties car did not hit me directly – they lost a wheel while driving down the interstate, that wheel crashed through my windshield and roof hitting me in the head. I’m grateful to be alive but absolutely infuriated that I pay for uninsured motorists but yet my adjuster will not let me file a claim for it. Could he be lying to try and save money for his company?
Regarding paying back insurance – I have received letters that I am responsible for paying back health insurance directly from my bodily injury settlement. Am I able to not pay them and pay myself a "fair" amount for pain and settlement or save it for future medical bills? (Not sure how fair would be determined though). I just don’t want to end up being sued for insurance fraud for keeping my settlement instead of paying back insurance. I’ve been told by various adjusters that in most states insurance would go after the at fault parties insurance on their own, but that in Georgia I am responsible by law for paying them back immediately after reaching settlement. It doesn’t seem fair if the settlement doesn’t cover those bills.
What is the average price for DUI/DWI lawyers in Maryland?
I got a DUI/DWI in howard county Maryland. This is my first offense relating to any drunk driving charges. I am truly very sorry and never ever intend to get behind the wheel after this one. My BAC was .19, what are the average fees I am looking at to get out of this one?

3 car accidents, car 1 on 2nd lane lost controlled, hit car 3 on the 3rd lane, skid?
perpendicular to the (90 degrees) traffic flow, came onto lane 5, Car 3 missed but car 1 then spun 180 degrees back onto 4th lane. This time Car 3’s front bumper hits car 1’s front left bumper. The fender and wheel of car 3 are intact. Car 1 got ticket for unsafe lane change, car 3 got a ticket for following too closely. Car 1 lost control because car 1 hit brake so hard to avoid hitting cars in front. There was no car infront of car 3 before the accident. Is the office correct giving tickets to car 1 and car 3 above? I am driving car 3. Insurance of car 1 won’t pay for damages for car 3. Speed of car 3 and 1=65mph. Should I fight this ticket in court? Which lawyer do I need to represent me to agrue with the insurance company? My insur policy only has liability. Thanks for non bias advise. I am in Fairfax, Virginia
sorry, 3 car accidents, car 1 on 2nd lane lost control, hit car 2 in third lane…Car 3 in 4th lane.

is there a website with any information about a lemon law pertaining to used vehicles?
my husband recently purchased a used truck from a person who buys from auctions and individuals and resales for profit. he was recently in an accident in Houston, Tx, when his brakes locked up and he was unable to avoid rearending the person in front of him. Upon checking the brake system, he took off the front passenger side wheel and the brakes fell to pieces on the concrete. We now know why his brakes failed. He had only purchased this truck 2 or 3 weeks before the accident. He has also changed several parts under the front and rear end, the motor mounts and the steering system {pump and lines}. Someone told us there is a law stating that all steering and brakes are to be in 100% operating order when a vehicle is sold or traded and that it falls under a lemon law. We are seriously considering seeking legal action but do not want to go before a lawyer without some knowledge of the right or wrong of this situation.

I need an accident lawyer that will help me?
I was hit from the rear on the freeway at about 65mph, about 5 months ago. the other guys car was totated, mine was not as bad as his and still driveable. i hit the steering wheel and both shoulders were bruised, but I didnt not feel much more than a sore back and just some achy shoulders. now i am feeling the pain a lot more and i dont have money to go to the dr and the other insurance company is taking their sweet time to help pay for it. i tried calling some attorneys, but they dont want to help me because my medical bills are not sky high. i guess they dont want to consider me because my injuries are not as serious as most cases they handle and i would not be as profitable for them. but i know there is someone out there that can help me
