Can my car insurance co. assign a lawyer to represent me in court without my knowledge or consent?
I was in a car accident which was my fault. I only had liability ins and the guy I hit had full coverage, now, his claim was for ,000 but my ins only covers me for ,000. this is where it gets complicated (stay with me) His insurance company has now bought out my insurance company. Now theres a lawyer (her secretary and also the investigative firm she hired) calling me and coming to my house telling me that my insurance has assigned this lawyer to me who lost contact with me before the trial, now there is a judgment against me and she is supposed to help me…I’m not a lawyer or anything but isn’t that a conflict of interest? and I never had any knowledge of any lawyer or even of a court date and definitely did NOT consent or sign any agreement to have a lawyer. Please give me any advice or insight you might have, All this seems very suspicious to me

denied hospital bed from insurance co. they waited for me to get medicare.medicare told me this was an unethical practice and fraudulent act and that i should sue. sue 4 interferring with quality of life. pain and suffering and also endangering my health. they do this and get away with it cause no one ever acts on this type of case.medicare adviced me to do something about it and so i am going to try.can anyone out there help me in this situation?i have two cases of merit and cant get results so now i am appealing to all out there help me. i would appreciate any advise .anyone can give.thanks.take care chow 4 now.again thanks.
Judgment was made against me for a medical bill. Insurance paid amount allowed in contract. what to do?
When I went to court i signed a payment agreement they said their was no other way. However, the insurance says that they cannot get more than the allowable amt under contract and that I owe nothing. They also mentioned this to the lawyer for the anesthesia co. Now I don’t know what to do. They still want payment and are seeking it from me even after insurance informed lawyer of contract agreement with his client.
Anyone know the steps for filing a complaint with the insurance commision for auto?

my husband was recently involved in a car accident. the other party is trying to blame him. they got a lawyer and all that stuff.
We did not really have that much personal injury, so no lawyer wants to defend us.
anyway….
i feel like my insurance company doesnt really care to really investigate this properly. it seems like they just want to pass the buck and choose someone at fault to close the case.

i asked my insurance company for a lawyer, and they said you only get a lawyer if you are being sued. which thank God we are not. But i feel like i need a lawyer just to defend me from my insurance company.

The other party's lawyer asked my car insurance company to disclose my coverage. Should I do this?
I had a car accident at local cross-section couple of month ago and it was my fault. Both cars were damaged. The other party’s car was very old cheap car but not sure how much she was injured (one driver). However, she didn’t seem to be seriously injured at that time but who knows. We both took ambulance to the local emergency room but I walked away in 30min. I think she did too. Anyway, I got a letter yesterday that the other party’s lawyer sent my insurance firm to disclose my coverage. I have never had this experience. My insurance firm sent me a letter to see if I want to disclose my coverage (they need my permission to disclose my coverage) I am not sure if I need to disclose my coverage then the other party might use my coverage to take more money. My friend told me not to disclose my coverage but I don’t know what the best option would be to me.
Anyway can you give me advice if I need to disclose or not? My insurance firm is a nationally known company and I have a reasonably good coverage but I am a bit worried about this.
